Wang Lubao, chairman of Jiangsu Jixing New Materials Co., Ltd., said in an interview with Gaogong LED reporter that Jixing New Materials uses the most advanced in-situ growth and in-situ annealing crystal growth technology to grow over 100 kg of high-quality sapphire crystals, which can be processed into 2 inch, 4 inch, 6 inch, 8 inch sapphire ingot, wafer. Jixing New Materials Large-size, high-quality sapphire substrates are mainly targeted at the high-end LED market. 
According to field experts, the 101.35 kg sapphire crystal is transparent and has a cylindrical shape with a diameter of 360 mm and a height of 260 mm. It is the largest and heaviest sapphire crystal that can be grown by artificial techniques in China.
The technical team of Jiangsu Jixing New Materials Co., Ltd. was jointly developed by American experts and manufactured by the unique growth process technology of “in situ growth, in situ annealing†modified heat exchange method, which is a high quality sapphire crystal. The process solves many problems such as the need to control the seed crystal and the human body during the crystal growth process, and the stability of the quality part due to the excessive temperature gradient, and the size is not large.
The trial production of the first furnace was successful, which made it possible for large-scale production and upgrading to larger sapphire in the future. 
According to Gaogong LED reporter, according to the planning of Jiangsu Jixing New Materials Co., Ltd., its sapphire project was completed in four phases. The first phase of investment is 1.06 billion yuan. It is expected to produce 5 million sapphire substrates per year after reaching production in August this year; the second, third and fourth phases of the project will reach an annual output of 10 million, 15 million and 20 million pieces respectively. The scale of production, complete all project investment plans within three years.
