ITO glass technology SiO2 barrier film specifications

SiO2 barrier film specifications

1 Soda-lime (Na-Ca) glass used in liquid crystal displays, usually a film layer needs to be plated on the side in contact with the liquid crystal material to block the migration of sodium ions (Na +) from the glass into the liquid crystal layer.
1.1 The coated surface is a tin surface.
1.2 The thickness of the SiO2 film layer is 20.0-30.0 nanometers (nm).
1.3 The composition is 100% SiO2.
1.4 Barrier layer performance: After 48 hours of water bath at a temperature above 96 ℃, the permeation amount of sodium ion per unit area of the barrier film layer shall not exceed 1.0mg / m2.
1.5 The effective coating surface is the glass surface excluding the 3mm edge area. There are no coating layers at four mounting fixtures within 3mm from the edge, and the remaining edge parts are all coated.
1.6 Optical performance specifications
1.6.1 At a light wavelength of 632.8nm, the refractive index is 1.57 ± 0.10.
1.6.2 At a wavelength of 550.0 nm, its transmittance (including substrate glass with a thickness less than or equal to 1.1 mm) is greater than 91%.
1.7 Chemical resistance requirements
a) Alkali resistance After immersion in a sodium hydroxide (AR) solution with a temperature of 60 ± 2 ℃ and a concentration of 10% for 5 minutes, the performance of the SiO2 barrier layer still meets the specifications described in Section 5.1.4.
b) Acid resistance After immersing in a solution prepared with 3 parts of 36% hydrochloric acid (AR), 50 parts of deionized water and 3 parts of 67% nitric acid (AR) at a temperature of 60 ± 2 ℃ for 5 minutes, the performance of the SiO2 barrier film still meets The specifications described in section 1.4.
c) Solvent resistance performance After immersing the coated glass in acetone (AR), absolute ethanol (AR) or a cleaning solution made of 100 parts deionized water plus 3 parts EC101 for 5 minutes, the performance of the SiO2 barrier layer still meets 1.4 The specifications described in this section.

2 Sodium-calcium (Na-Ca) glass used in resistive touch screens usually needs to be coated with a SiO2 film layer on one side to ensure the uniformity of the film layer.
2.1 The coated surface is a tin surface.
2.2 The thickness of the SiO2 film layer is 10.0 nanometers (nm).
2.3 The composition is 100% SiO2.
2.4 The effective coating surface is the glass surface excluding the 3mm edge area. There are no coating layers at four mounting fixtures within 3mm from the edge, and the remaining edge parts are all coated.
