In Boston, the stadium is no longer just a place for children. Twenty LED glowing circular swings were placed outdoors as part of the "Swing Time", Boston's first interactive sculptural installation. These suspended, luminous ring-shaped swings are an innovation of the traditional rubber ring-rope combination, suspended from a small steel structure similar to that used on traditional sports fields. The LED lights are embedded in the swing. As the swing moves, the lights inside will change color and return to dim white when stationary.

Swing Time is inspired by traditional sports grounds and aims to use technology and creativity to build Boston's outdoor space. The swing was designed by Boston-based Howeler and Yoon to improve the city's lack of recreational space. Swing Time is located on the lawn of contemporary Sculpture D Park, and D Park is also connected to the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center on the streets of Boston's South Shore at Lake D.

The project also embodies the integration of technology and community participation and also provides a new platform for encouraging local innovation. Each swing has a specific model that is welded with polypropylene to make a three-dimensional swing suitable for all people. The swing amplitude of each swing is measured by an internal accelerometer that can trigger the LED lamp system to cause the color to change from white to blue to purple. The introduction of Howeler and Yoon is: Swing Time's play elements encourage users to interact with the swings, revitalize the city park, and create a community lab in Boston's Innovation District and South Boston.
