This indicates that the distributed PV power plant in Jiangsu Province has the conditions to integrate into the unified dispatch management of the power grid. This system has become the first information platform for information acquisition and dispatch management of distributed photovoltaic power plants.

This system can connect distributed photovoltaic power stations and residential household power generation points with regional power control centers and power marketing systems, and has the functions of real-time collection and monitoring of power, voltage, current, meteorology, and power generation data for distributed photovoltaic power generation. The unified dispatching operation provided an information platform and provided technical support for the power grid to absorb and manage distributed photovoltaic power generation. Taking into account the small capacity of distributed PV cells and the wide range of points, the characteristics of high cost of information collection channels for conventional power plants are established. The Jiangsu Power Research and Development Corporation of the State Grid has specially designed the launch based on General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) private network. Terminals, data can be sent to regional power control centers in real time. Compared with the conventional way of constructing information collection channels by conventional power plants, the construction cost of the system is reduced by more than 90%, and the monitoring accuracy and timeliness are improved.

It is reported that the two power plants that have been connected to the system before are Changzhou Tonghui Amica Photovoltaic Power Station and Xiangyang Xuyuan Photovoltaic Power Station. At present, all three PV power plants have completed the connection and related testing work with the “Distributed Photovoltaic Power Plant Real-time Information Acquisition System”. According to the plan, in the future, distributed PV power stations in Jiangsu Province will be connected to the system, receiving unified dispatch management of the power grid, and analyzing the power tariff based on system data. In addition, State Grid Jiangsu Electric Power will gradually improve its high-end management functions such as data analysis, standardize distributed photovoltaic power generation and grid management, and meet the new grid-connected photovoltaic generation needs.
