The wind of innovation in the semiconductor lighting industry came again. On September 1, a contract was signed between the Guangdong Science and Technology Department, the Foshan Municipal Government, and the Nanhai District Government. The Guangdong Semiconductor Lighting Industry Co-Innovation Center and the Guangdong Semiconductor Lighting Industry Technical Service Cluster (incubator) will officially join the South China Sea .

It is reported that this is the first provincial innovation center in the semiconductor lighting industry in China. Local government officials such as Foshan City and Nanhai District claimed that this move was intended to help promote the development of the East LED industry.

Whether the joint innovation center can take the lead in driving the development of the LED industry in Guangdong, the industry's general response can only wait and see.

22 companies jointly initiated and established. It is reported that the joint innovation center was jointly initiated by 22 LED companies in Guangdong Province, and was funded and registered. The Guangdong Semiconductor Light Source Industry Association is responsible for the preparatory operations of the joint innovation center.

After the establishment of the Innovation Center, it will accept applications from the relevant units for years to jointly promote the management and development of the center. During the construction of the innovation center, it mainly focused on government finance, built and put into service in the innovation center, and adopted a combination of government investment and market-oriented services.

There are public welfare tasks such as strategic research, intellectual property situation analysis, and benchmarking system research, and government procurement services are used as a form of support. The tasks of tight integration of inspection and certification services, industrial alliance operations, talent training, results display transactions, and financing services with companies and industries are put into market operations.

Under the co-ordination of the Department of Science and Technology of Guangdong Province, the joint innovation center integrates professional teams such as research and development, testing, patent technology, and technology alliances within the province, and undertakes all major businesses of the Innovation Center.

The Guangdong New Light Source Industrial Base Co-Innovation Center landed in the core park of the Guangdong New Light Source Industry Base. The first phase started the construction of approximately 9,000 square kilometers of carrier, mainly for the innovative needs of all segments of the LED industry chain, to create coverage of R&D outsourcing, inspection and inspection, and display transactions. Education and training, marketing and financial support, and other sectors, and to Guangdong, the radiation of the country, the world's LED industry innovation service cluster.

Choosing to set up a joint innovation center in the South China Sea is a good basis for Nanhai's semiconductor lighting industry. The strong SME cluster in Nanhai is undoubtedly closer to the major service groups of the innovation center. In addition, Nanhai’s bold exploration of industrial transformation and upgrading work in recent years, especially the smooth construction of the new light source industrial base in Guangdong Province, has provided necessary high-end carrier support for the settlement of the innovation center.

At present, 330,000 square meters of the park has been basically completed. It is now stepping up the development of supporting projects such as greening and paving. It is expected that by the end of September, all construction will be completed.
