Chery enters new energy vehicle battery field

Recently, Chery Automobile’s subsidiary, Wuhu Chery Technology Co., Ltd. announced that it has signed an agreement with BenQ Group, a subsidiary of BenQ Group, to establish Dainite Material Technology (Wuhu) Co., Ltd., and the two companies will cooperate in research, development and production of separator materials for power lithium batteries. .

This time, in cooperation with BenQ, Chery took lithium battery separators for automotive products as the main products, further expanded the distribution of new energy products to other new energy materials and automotive diaphragm materials markets, and focused on improving new energy materials and new energy key component technologies. The ability to grasp laid a solid foundation for Chery’s new energy vehicle industrialization. The battery diaphragm plant is now under construction in the Wuhu Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone in Anhui, and mass production will be available next year. By then, the plant will serve the entire power battery field, including Chery’s new energy vehicles and other battery plant customers.

It is reported that at present, Chery has formed a complete set of research and development capabilities for key components in the field of new energy technologies, and has initially formed mass production capabilities in motors, motor drive systems, power batteries, battery management systems, and vehicle controllers.
