1. Product BOM

There are two main types: EBOM (design) and MBOM (manufacturing).

EBOM reflects the product composition structure and can be used to generate material requirements planning.

MBOM embodies the manufacturing process of the product and can be used to generate work plans and guide actual production operations.

EBOM is derived from the EBOM tree of PDM, and the import method can be divided into tight integration and non-tight integration. The former PDM directly connects with the MES, and uses the integrated interface to import the required data. It is easy to use, but the amount of development is large and the two systems affect each other. If the system is upgraded in the future, the integration may be affected. The latter is exported from PDM to generate an intermediate file, and then imported into MES to generate a BOM tree. There is no direct data exchange between the two systems, and development is relatively easy; even if the system is upgraded in the future, as long as the format of the imported and exported data remains unchanged, the system will run. There will be no impact, so it is also adopted by many companies.

A separate MBOM tree (some even planning BOM, procurement BOM, process BOM, etc.) can be established in PDM, and the same set of drawings and process files are used with EBOM, but the structure of the nodes is different, which ensures the data source of EBOM and MBOM The uniqueness. The establishment of MBOM in other systems involves the synchronization and maintenance of data, which is labor intensive and error-prone. Many companies do not have a dedicated MBOM but only EBOM. In MES, a relatively simple method can be considered: According to EBOM, the system automatically reads the process files to establish MBOM. In most cases, it can basically meet the needs of use, which is a low-cost implementation. the way. When BOM is imported into MES from PDM, some node attributes (such as self-made, outsourcing, outsourcing) also need to be imported at the same time.

2. Financial data

Financial data can be imported into MES to calculate production costs. From the experience of many companies in the implementation of informatization projects, data has a great impact on the success of the project. It is not uncommon for data problems to cause the project to fail or even fail. Therefore, data planning and planning are carried out at the beginning of project construction. Preparation is necessary

3. Process documents

The turnover system of the process in the MES is automatically completed, and the basis for the sequence conversion is the technological process, which is the basis for the operation of the MES. Generally, the process flow of process enterprises is relatively fixed, and the quantity is also small, which can be directly created in MES. Discrete manufacturing enterprises have a lot of technological processes, and the creation of the system is too heavy and repetitive (the craft file already exists), which can be imported through the craft file.

In addition to the process flow, the process document should also contain information such as equipment and working hours. Equipment information can be used to assign man-hours to specify equipment. Man-hours can be used to measure workload and are also the basis for calculating production schedules. The system's automatic scheduling requires high accuracy and completeness of man-hours, otherwise the scheduling results will be inaccurate. The process names in the process flow generally require standardization, so that the system can automatically dispatch workers according to the process, calculate and evaluate the production capacity of the process, and define the attributes of the process.

Inconsistent process names will bring difficulties to the operation of the system. If the workload of completely re-modifying the process files is too large, a more convenient method can be adopted: a comparison table of the new and old process names is established in the system, and the system automatically resolves it.

4. Production planning and inventory data

The production plan is generally generated in the ERP, imported to the MES for execution through the integrated interface, and then returned to the ERP after the completion status. If there is no ERP, the production plan can also be directly generated in the MES. MES can be integrated with the material inventory management system. When the plan is generated, the inventory data is automatically read to deduct the available quantity, and it can also guide on-site ingredients.

5. Bill of Materials

The complete set of materials is a difficult point in the production management of an assembly-type enterprise, which needs to be considered in MES. The bill of materials is the basis for the complete set. It should not only reflect the product composition, but also consider the actual production process, that is, according to the production process, the ingredients can go to the process. The bill of materials can be automatically generated by MBOM, imported in the process file, or imported in the form of a bill of materials file.

6. Technical documents such as drawings

In order to reduce costs and the need for technology and craftsmanship, many companies hope to realize paperless production. Paper drawings, craftsmanship and other documents are no longer used in the production process. All documents are read in the MES, and the documents need to be imported at this time. MES.

7. DNC system data

The equipment, numerical control program and task completion information in the DNC system can be imported into the MES, and the MES can import the production task information into the DNC.

8. Ordering data

Ordering data generally comes from the sales department, which can be imported into the MES from the CRM system or manually input.
