Laser TV shows the unmatched industrial advantages, technical advantages and health advantages of LCD

Like men and women in love, the reason for breaking up is often not that one party is bad, but that there are better people waiting for each other. In the TV market, similar principles are quietly playing a role.

LCD TVs are currently the most mature and the largest sales category in the TV market, but this does not mean that LCDs will always occupy the user’s living room. Because new and better technologies and products are accelerating the pace of reaching users.

Laser TV is the better "him". Putting aside the broader reasons for industrial initiative, just mentioning an indicator is worthy of users' hearts.

Laser TV shows the unmatched industrial advantages, technical advantages and health advantages of LCD

This indicator is health and eye protection.

First look at a worrying data. The latest research report of the World Health Organization shows that in 2017, there were as many as 600 million myopia patients in China, ranking first in the world. What's more frightening is that the trend of younger age is very obvious. The myopia rate of primary school students is as high as 45.7%, and that of junior high school students is 74.4%.

Surrounded by various tangible electronic screens, it has become a normal state of life and work. This normality has a huge impact on the physical and mental health of adolescents, and the country therefore pays more attention to the protection of children and adolescents’ eyesight.

Eight departments including the Ministry of Education jointly issued the "Implementation Plan for the Comprehensive Prevention and Control of Myopia in Children and Adolescents" on August 30, incorporating vision health into quality education, including the prevention and control of myopia in children and adolescents and the overall myopia rate in government performance evaluation indicators. Local governments and schools that have experienced a decline in the physical fitness of young people for three consecutive years are held accountable in accordance with laws and regulations.

In the face of such a severe situation, if TV producers and consumers fail to pay more attention to the indicator of health and eye care, it is a serious negligence. On the product side, TVs that are more healthy and eye-friendly have actually appeared, and that is the rapid growth of laser TVs in recent years.

The reason why LCD TVs are more harmful to the eyes is mainly determined by the technical principles of imaging. The LCD TV adopts direct imaging, the large-area screen light directly enters the eye, and it is accompanied by problems such as high-brightness display and stroboscopic refresh. The larger the size, the longer the viewing time, the more likely it is to cause visual fatigue.

The reason why laser TVs are healthier and eye-protecting is that in terms of imaging, laser TVs reflect light into the eyes of the viewer through the screen, just like everything in nature reflects sunlight and finally image into the eyes, the light is soft, comfortable and not glaring.

The scientific authoritative experimental results also prove that laser TV completely crushes LCD TV in terms of health and eye protection.

Take Hisense laser TV as an example. In order to achieve a softer eye-protecting display effect, Hisense laser TV is specially equipped with a Fresnel passive bionic screen imported from Denmark. The optical engine inside the laser TV also shapes and homogenizes the laser. After the lens is magnified and imaged on the screen, the spatial distribution of the projected light intensity is the same as that of an LED or a bulb, and there is no laser hazard that people are worried about.

Recently, the Saixi Laboratory of China Electronic Technology Standardization Institute and Peking Union Medical College Hospital, an authoritative testing organization directly under the state, obtained 144 sets of test data through strict comparison tests between people watching laser TV and LCD TV under the same conditions. Data confirms that laser TV does have strong eye-protection properties, especially in terms of ciliary muscle activity indicators that are highly related to whether the human eye is nearsighted or not, and even has a significant improvement effect.

The ophthalmologists of Saixi Laboratory and Xiehe Hospital selected 36 people and divided them into 6 groups to conduct a two-day test under the same conditions. Compare the human eyes to watch the same size at a certain time (90 minutes) and a certain distance (3 meters). Subjective and objective evaluations before and after laser TV and LCD TV, and obtained 144 sets of test data on human eyesight, refractive power, tear film rupture, ciliary muscle flexibility and subjective perception of human eyes.

Data analysis and comparison confirmed that the subjects will have obvious changes in vision, diopter and ciliary muscles after watching LCD TV, as well as symptoms such as eye swelling, eye pain, photophobia, dry eyes, blurred vision, etc.; subjects watched laser TV Later, the key indicators such as vision and subjective eye perception did not change significantly.

The study also found that long-term excessive contraction of the ciliary muscle can easily lead to myopia. In this indicator, which is highly related to whether the human eye is myopia, the performance of laser TV and LCD TV is exactly the opposite. After the subjects watched the LCD TV, the ciliary muscles were fatigued. Obviously, the ciliary muscle tends to be more flexible after watching laser TV. It can be seen that watching laser TV under the same conditions is not only more comfortable, but also protects eye health to a certain extent.

The healthier eye-protecting laser TV, driven by the leading company Hisense, is accelerating the speed of market penetration. A few days ago, Hisense launched a laser TV "free trial for 10,000 people" plan, and more families can experience the health and eye protection advantages of laser TV intuitively with a low threshold.

Judging from market data, laser TVs have indeed become the new darling of the market, and the replacement of LCDs has been carried out in depth. In May of this year, Hisense launched the 80-inch laser TV L5, which for the first time started a replacement for large-screen LCD TVs of 65 inches and above at a price of more than 20,000 yuan. It is in the market for large-screen TVs of 80 inches and above. The share of TV products has basically remained above 25%, and it has occupied the top ten best-selling TV products for 10 consecutive weeks.

More critically, Hisense also plans to lower the size of laser TVs to 70 inches or smaller, and upgrade the technology to the era of three-color lasers, which will have a greater impact on the LCD market.

LCD is the king of the flat-panel TV era, but the times are developing, and the technology and needs are constantly iterating. As a representative of the next generation of display technology, laser TV is showing the incomparable industrial advantages, technical advantages and health advantages of LCD.
