Solving the Difficulties of Work, Bijie Power Supply Bureau vigorously promotes the use of drones

Power line inspections have always been a difficult point in power operations. In recent years, the use of drones to carry out inspection work has become mainstream. Recently, the Guizhou Bijie Power Supply Bureau also stated that it will promote the use of multi-rotor UAVs in power transmission lines from this year.

Guizhou Bijie Power Supply Bureau will promote the use of multi-rotor UAVs to carry out inspection work in power transmission lines from this year. For Guizhou Power Grid, the patrol mode of overhead transmission lines with "machine patrol-based and personnel patrol-assisted" will be fully completed by the end of 2020. Lay the foundation.

Since April 6th, the bureau has invited two teachers of drone manufacturers to inspect the basic knowledge of the overhead transmission line inspection, basic knowledge of transmission equipment defects, troubleshooting, assembly and debugging for the on-the-job personnel who are engaged in transmission line work in 8 county bureaus. The trajectory flight and the search for line defects have carried out two phases of multi-rotor UAV operation skill training, and collected 1003 theoretical test questions to train the trainees.

On April 18th, through two rounds of internal selection competitions, Bijie Power Supply Bureau conducted intensive training on the selected three winners, enriched the question bank, and conducted high-efficiency and high-intensity training on difficult projects such as trajectory flight.

It is understood that this year Guizhou Power Grid Co., Ltd. will purchase 19 UAVs for Bijie Power Supply Bureau, ensuring that each county bureau is equipped with a training machine and a working machine for power transmission line inspection. The Bijie Power Supply Bureau also issued a 400-kilometer power transmission management office, and each of the eight county bureaus has a drone-free line task of not less than 50 kilometers, and promotes the use of drones in the global system.

The drone is easy to carry, simple to operate, quick to respond, has low environmental requirements for take-off and landing, and can fly autonomously. Carry out general training and intensive training for multi-rotor UAVs, and promote the use of drones in a comprehensive manner, which will help to inspect hidden dangers and defects of transmission lines, accurately detect fault points, improve the accuracy and efficiency of inspections, and improve line equipment. The level of operation and maintenance will ensure the reliability of power supply will play a positive role.
