Taiwan's Diamond Technology Center (DTC) replaces the insulating layer of epoxy resin on printed circuit boards with diamond-like carbon (DLC) coatings to make current LED lighting products (such as street lamps) Life expectancy has been greatly extended. DTC has also developed the Diamond Island Wafer (DIW) as the substrate for the production of super LEDs. Super LEDs emit extremely high-ultraviolet light (UV), and their intensity is not reduced by high temperatures, but will be brighter. Super LED semiconductors, including diamond, cubic boron nitride (Cubic Boron Nitride, cBN) and aluminum nitride (AlN), have extremely wide energy gaps, and even can be made into solid-state UV Laser, the light energy density will be much larger than Existing gas (such as Eximer) laser. Revolution of light The light revolution began at the beginning of this century, and incandescent lamps and Fluorescent lamps, which have been used for more than a hundred years, are about to enter history. In the next few years, LED lighting will become the mainstream of lighting (such as street lights) and displays (such as television). In 2009, the total output value of global LEDs was about 7.6 billion US dollars, Japan was the country with the highest output value, and Taiwan was the region with the largest output (Figure 1). Taiwan has taken the lead in this wave of light revolution and has become the main producer of LED chips. But like past CDs and current DRAMs have to pay expensive royalties, LED patents are also subject to foreign companies (Figure 2). The “smile curve†makes the profits generated by patents of large foreign companies far greater than the value of Taiwan’s hard-working LEDs. The China Diamond Corporation's Diamond Technology Center (DTC) launched the world's first DiaGrid diamond disc in 1999. The early production of integrated circuits must be used. "Chemical Mechanical Planarization" (CMP) standard product (Figure 3). DTC's patents have also been forced to retreat 3M, and have authorized major diamond products companies in the United States, Japan and China.
