Waymo, an alphabet driving company of Alphabet, announced today that it will start developing self-driving trucks. Waymo spokesperson said in the statement: “We have accumulated 8 years of research and development experience in auto-driving hardware and software. Now we want to try some technological explorations to see what will happen if we integrate our technology into trucks.”

In the report, Waymo’s self-driving truck project is still in an early stage, and currently only the staff is driving the truck to collect relevant data on the road. As for what the future will become, we still don't know.
