The village's 290 villagers mainly cultivate Qingshui River crabs, with more than 100 crab ponds and 2274 acres of culture water surface. It is a veritable river crab village.

From the power grid to the crab pond, it is more convenient to use electricity for aquaculture. In the past two years, Honghu City Power Supply Company has incorporated aquaculture power into the “community of wells” and “village to village power” project in rural power grid reconstruction, and prospected the design and optimization of the layout and route of the station, according to the electricity load and power of the aquaculture. Up to 500 meters, the average household capacity reached 2.2 kW, and the terminal voltage was increased from 132 volts to 220 volts.
